Meet Dr. Lohmeyer’s Family

Nathan and his wife Sara left New York in 2008 to start a family in the wonderful city of Denver, Colorado. His beautiful wife is a licensed Acupuncturist and pilates instructor. They have 2 young energetic boys, Jack and Charlie, who are a handful but bring them endless joy.

Dr. Lohmeyer enjoys spending time with his family, spending time outside running, hiking, skiing and golfing as well as visiting the many wonderful restaurants and breweries in the mile high city.

Dr. Andrea Lu

Dr. Lu is a dedicated optometrist who has been providing exceptional eye care to patients since graduating from the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) in 2021. A Colorado native, Dr. Lu began her journey in optometry after earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2015.

During her time at SCCO, Dr. Lu gained extensive clinical experience through fourth-year externships at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, the University Eye Center in Los Angeles, California, Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital in Sacaton, Arizona, and Ketchum Health in Anaheim, California.

In addition to her clinical education, her experience at various clinical and private practice settings has allowed her to develop her skills in diagnosing and managing ocular disease, fitting soft and specialty contact lenses, and providing dry eye treatments.

Outside of work, Dr. Lu DJs at various concert venues in Denver and has performed out-of-state in cities such as New York, Seattle, and Sacramento. In her free time, Dr. Lu enjoys attending concerts, weightlifting, and arranging dry flowers.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Lohmeyer and his team. I’ve been under his care for several years for recurrent uveitis, and I’m incredibly grateful for the care, compassion, and kindness I’ve consistently received.

At my most recent appointment, I was feeling particularly emotional and overwhelmed after dealing with another difficult episode. Dr. Lohmeyer took so much time with me, answering my questions, talking through my options, and simply listening. I never felt rushed. He was patient, reassuring, incredibly kind, and made me feel genuinely cared for.

His entire team is wonderful, too. Everyone is always so warm, friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. When you’re dealing with an ongoing medical condition, those seemingly small interactions can make such a difference in how supported you feel.

Dr. Lohmeyer combines medical expertise with genuine compassion, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have him caring for my eyes. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his wonderful team!

They got me in immediately and were patient and thorough - did all the tests.  Dr. Lohmeyer explained everything clearly and answered every question. I signed up the day before with insurance and was covered to see a doctor with an appointment for contacts the very next day! I also saw an advertisement and went for a pair of sunglasses and saved money by going in person. The staff was incredibly friendly and they taught me how to use meta smartglasses.
